DEZARIE - Fya

DEZARIE - Fya

Fya
Fya
Fya

Burning all oppose
Tithes and high priest
Representing Jonas
Universe shall be shocked
In seven hills, seven hills
Bring into the church all abominations
That bob the restless one by worship all
All of them will get
Fya
Fya

Getting worse she’s gonna image cultures sass
Even if it borrowed from the culture on the Babylonian
Anti-Christ (Christ)
They carry on this legacy transfixe law and blasphemy
Was he that died upon the cross? Not my God a living God...
Fya
Fya

Their object is to keep us away from direct contact with the
living God
Let us not establish our lives upon hope and dream that never
come
So now we free-dom
How come no one ever mention?
Illusion pile upon illusion everyday confusion
Fya
Fya

Let all that picture be removed, be removed, be removed
And let all those that despise the poor be removed, be removed,
be removed

Michael Jackson - "Man In The Mirror"

Michael Jackson - "Man In The Mirror"

Im gonna make a change,
For once in my life
Its gonna feel real good,
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right . . .
As i, turn up the collar on my
Favourite winter coat
This wind is blowin my mind
I see the kids in the street,
With not enough to eat
Who am i, to be blind?
Pretending not to see
Their needs
A summers disregard,
A broken bottle top
And a one mans soul
They follow each other on
The wind ya know
cause they got nowhere to go
Thats why I want you to know
Im starting with the man in the mirror
Im asking him to change his ways
And no message could have
Been any clearer
If you wanna make the world
A better place
(if you wanna make the
World a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and
Then make a change
(take a look at yourself, and
Then make a change)
(na na na, na na na, na na, na nah)
Ive been a victim of a selfish
Kind of love
Its time that I realize
That there are some with no
Home, not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me,
Pretending that theyre not alone?
A willow deeply scarred,
Somebodys broken heart
And a washed-out dream
(washed-out dream)
They follow the pattern of
The wind, ya see
Cause they got no place to be
Thats why Im starting with me
(starting with me!)
Im starting with the man in the mirror
(ooh!)
Im asking him to change his ways
(ooh!)
And no message could have
Been any clearer
If you wanna make the world
A better place
(if you wanna make the
World a better place)
Take a look at yourself and
Then make a change
(take a look at yourself and
Then make a change)
Im starting with the man in
The mirror
(ooh!)
Im asking him to change his ways
(change his ways-ooh!)
And no message couldve
Been any clearer
If you wanna make the world
A better place
(if you wanna make the
World a better place)
Take a look at yourself and
Then make that . . .
(take a look at yourself and
Then make that . . .)
Change!
Im starting with the man in the mirror,
(man in the mirror-oh yeah!)
Im asking him to change his ways
(better change!)
No message could have
Been any clearer
(if you wanna make the
World a better place)
(take a look at yourself and
Then make the change)
(you gotta get it right, while
You got the time)
(cause when you close your heart)
You cant close your . . .your mind!
(then you close your . . . mind!)
That man, that man, that
Man, that man
With that man in the mirror
(man in the mirror, oh yeah!)
That man, that man, that man
Im asking him to change his ways
(better change!)
You know . . .that man
No message could have
Been any clearer
If you wanna make the world
A better place
(if you wanna make the
World a better place)
Take a look at yourself and
Then make a change
(take a look at yourself and
Then make a change)
Hoo! hoo! hoo! hoo! hoo!
Na na na, na na na, na na,
Na nah
(oh yeah!)
Gonna feel real good now!
Yeah yeah! yeah yeah!
Yeah yeah!
Na na na, na na na, na na,
Na nah
(ooooh . . .)
Oh no, no no . . .
Im gonna make a change
Its gonna feel real good!
Come on!
(change . . .)
Just lift yourself
You know
Youve got to stop it.
Yourself!
(yeah!-make that change!)
Ive got to make that change,
Today!
Hoo!
(man in the mirror)
You got to
You got to not let yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(yeah!-make that change!)
You know-Ive got to get
That man, that man . . .
(man in the mirror)
Youve got to
Youve got to move! come
On! come on!
You got to . . .
Stand up! stand up!
Stand up!
(yeah-make that change)
Stand up and lift
Yourself, now!
(man in the mirror)
Hoo! hoo! hoo!
Aaow!
(yeah-make that change)
Gonna make that change . . .
Come on!
(man in the mirror)
You know it!
You know it!
You know it!
You know . . .
(change . . .)
Make that change.

Garnett Silk - Babylon Be Still

Garnett Silk - Babylon Be Still

(G Smith / E Robinson)

Babylon be still while I blow this trumpet.
Babylon be still.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same that was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not...
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God...
Jah Rastafari, Haile Selassie the First.
Who was born not of the will of man, nor of the will of the flesh, but of the will of God. Full of grace and truth. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among I and I and I and I.

And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

King Haile Selassie I
King Haile
Oh God, he is Christ
Christ in his kingly character
Christ in his kingly character
Tell...
There is no other
There is no other
There is no other

His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord God Jah the Almighty loveth the gates of
Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of
God. Selah. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold
Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there. And of Zion it shall be said,
This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. The Lord
God Jah the Almighty Haile Selassie, our Father's chanted redeemer shall count, when he
writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. As well the singers as the
players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

Oh well now...
Babylon be still while I blow this trumpet.
Babylon be still while I blow this trumpet.
Bobalon be still.
Can't give I your pill.
Want to see I be killed.
Oh well now...
Give thanks and praise to the Most High always!
And I know Jah will help in your days.

This is no time to gaze.
No, no, no.
No time to gaze.
Play rasta song
All the day long
And you'll be strong
To carry on, yes...

The Obama-Nation

The Obama-Nation

by Jalil A. Muntaqim

Jalil Muntaqim
Jalil Muntaqim
Will the Obama-Nation become an abomination if it fails to
stop the bombing of nations? From Gaza to Afghanistan, the
American people must take a stand and tell Obama to forge
a better plan to free the land of Zionists and the Taliban. To
stand up against corporate bailouts while prisons are left out
for change like a business without clout as 2.3 million prisoners
remain in chains.
Change became a mantra defined on a political precipice
forged in steep words unprecedented by one who won the
right to be the 44th president. Supported by beliefs sold
in edifices of worship bonding the ideals shuttered in the
hearts of the dispossessed whose hope for tomorrow has
not regressed. Yet, time sours faith in hungry bellies as
the unsheltered endure the storms of lies, alibis and corrupt
government undisguised as the media realized exposing the
truth could result in a coveted Pulitzer Prize.
A future is born with a change of power on this day and in
this hour with an oath of office the Obama-Nation must stand
in allegiance, against torture, Abu Graib, Guantanamo Bay,
rendition and detention just to mention how the U.S. derelictions
became the world’s affliction. Evolving from 8 years of
disconnection, disaffection, humiliation, dissatisfaction with
the Bush administration’s corporate affiliations that led to U.S.
financial ruination.
The Democrats believe they can, since Obama told them
“Yes, we can.” Americans hope this is not a sham - as
participatory democracy is more than a four-year election,
since each day the Americans should strive for perfection,
healing the planet as they heal themselves of racism, sexism
and capitalist exploitation, to improve America’s place in
the world of nations.
No drama in the Obama-Nation is the expectation, void of
hesitation folks’ anticipation the 44th will elevate the level of
peace dividends given in Clintonesque deliberation face to face
with world’s representatives, like ebony and ivory side by side
championing U.S. hegemony in perfect harmony. As Gates
secures the gates of the Pentagon to sustain an imperialist
presence from Iraq to the China Sea, who is to believe change
can be conceived with National Security Agency secrets up
their sleeves.
The continued embargo of Cuba and Haiti a scandalous exercise
of power, as Latin America excises North America in its revolutionary
shining hour. Iran seeks nuclear advancement as the CIA creeps to
hinder its expansion, an inexplicable situation given the arms race has
moved as far as outer space, continuing to militarily arm Israel and
Taiwan. While North Korea produces nuclear energy, the U.S. attempts to
prohibit proliferation not of its control, using food as a weapon toward
an obviously starving nation not in keeping with its humanitarian goals.
Afrika stumbles into the 21st century with corporate proxy wars, none
keeping score as economic devastation brings multiple horrors. The
killing of babies and raping of girls, arming of children leaving the
land trampled with scars. Afrikans hope the Obama-Nation will plant
seeds of democracy, negating the hypocrisy of years of neglect without
regret, and yet, AFRICOM is a serious misstep. While Asians in Malaysia,
the largest concentration of Islamic moderation, confound U.S. inclination
to confront jihadists of Al-Qaeda’s persuasion in its population.
On the home front, Martin L. King Jr. proclaimed we as a people will get
to the promise land, while Malcolm X said it will be either the Ballot or
Bullet, so could it be hard to understand the 44th like a Manchurian candidate
manipulating the political landscape, permitting the Patriot Act to prohibit
progressive or revolutionary tact, believing true liberation after today has
become a point in fact. By virtue of the ballot, the revolution has been highjacked, the Black bourgeoisie has been notified America is now sanctified
and the promised land gentrified as the Obama-Nation is satisfied. But
Cointelpro victims remain classified in prisons, yet to be rectified with
truth and reconciliation, no way to start anew in the Obama-Nation.
So with a historic inauguration by pomp and circumstances though crying
eyes, a new era to inspire a generation of possibilities beyond rhetoric.
Anxious for the audacity of hope to spring eternal in humanity’s fratricidal
brotherhood with service to the nation negating race or class as society’s
underclass tests pomp and circumstances with stark cold reality of growing
unemployment lines with the economic situation continuing to decline.
My warning to all, while the band plays “Hail to the Chief” with a military
seven gun salute, is not to become hoodwinked or bamboozled, nor forgo
the political determination to end the embargo of Haiti and Cuba, to Free
Puerto Rico and Palestine, for this is not the time to recline in building struggle.
To keep U.S. hands off of Assata, because we gotta free all U.S. political
prisoners in the spirit of knowing We Are Our Own Liberators!
Note from Kiilu Nyasha: This is an on-time poem (written on Jan. 20, Inauguration Day) by Jalil Muntaqim, aka Anthony Bottom, one of the San Francisco 8 who, along with Herman Bell, remains locked up in administrative segregation in the San Francisco County Jail for the ridiculously erroneous charge of murdering a police officer in August of 1971. Jalil and Herman have already served at least 35 years in New York prisons for a frame-up in the case of the New York 3. They are truly political prisoners, among our finest revolutionaries. Free ‘em all!

THE BLACK FAMILY PLEDGE - Maya Angelou

THE BLACK FAMILY PLEDGE, Maya Angelou, poet, poetry,RBG, Red Black & Green
BECAUSE we have forgotten our ancestors,
our children no longer give us honor.
BECAUSE we have lost the path our ancestors cleared
kneeling in perilous undergrowth,
our children cannot find their way.
BECAUSE we have banished the God of our ancestors,
our children cannot pray.
BECAUSE the old wails of our ancestors have faded beyond our hearing,
our children cannot hear us crying.
BECAUSE we have abandoned our wisdom of mothering and fathering,
our befuddled children give birth to children
they neither want nor understand.
BECAUSE we have forgotten how to love, the adversary is within our
gates, an holds us up to the mirror of the world shouting,
"Regard the loveless"
Therefore we pledge to bind ourselves to one another, to embrace our
lowliest, to keep company with our loneliest, to educate our illiterate,
to feed our starving, to clothe our ragged, to do all good things,
knowing that we are more than keepers of our brothers and sisters.
We ARE our brothers and sisters.
IN HONOR of those who toiled and implored God with golden tongues,
and in gratitude to the same God who brought us out of hopeless desolation, we
make this pledge.

Bob Marley - Zimbabwe

Bob Marley -  Zimbabwe

Every man gotta right to decide his own destiny,
And in this judgement there is no partiality.
So arm in arms, with arms, we'll fight this little struggle,
'Cause that's the only way we can overcome our little trouble.

Brother, you're right, you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We gon' fight (we gon' fight), we'll have to fight (we gon' fight),
We gonna fight (we gon' fight), fight for our rights!

Natty Dread it in-a (Zimbabwe);
Set it up in (Zimbabwe);
Mash it up-a in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Africans a-liberate (Zimbabwe), yeah.

No more internal power struggle;
We come together to overcome the little trouble.
Soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionary,
'Cause I don't want my people to be contrary.

And, brother, you're right, you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We'll 'ave to fight (we gon' fight), we gonna fight (we gon' fight)
We'll 'ave to fight (we gon' fight), fighting for our rights!

Mash it up in-a (Zimbabwe);
Natty trash it in-a (Zimbabwe);
Africans a-liberate Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
I'n'I a-liberate Zimbabwe.

(Brother, you're right,) you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We gon' fight (we gon' fight), we'll 'ave to fight (we gon' fight),
We gonna fight (we gon' fight), fighting for our rights!

To divide and rule could only tear us apart;
In everyman chest, mm - there beats a heart.
So soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionaries;
And I don't want my people to be tricked by mercenaries.

Brother, you're right, you're right,
You're right, you're right, you're so right!
We'll 'ave to fight (we gon' fight), we gonna fight (we gon' fight),
We'll 'ave to fight (we gon' fight), fighting for our rights!

Natty trash it in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Mash it up in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Set it up in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Africans a-liberate Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Africans a-liberate Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Natty dub it in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe).

Set it up in-a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Africans a-liberate Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);

Every man got a right to decide his own destiny.

Damian "Junior Gong" Marley Catch a Fire

Damian "Junior Gong" Marley - Catch a Fire Lyrics

From: "Halfway Tree"

Halfway Tree

Every time I ‘ear di crack of di whip my blood runs cold,
I remember on di slave ship how dey brutalise your very soul,
Today dey say that we are free
Only to be jailed in poverty,
Good god I think it’s illiteracy ,
Only a machine makes,

Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned

Dem take up di ghetto youths and give dem pure magazine,
An take up on dem set an give dem bare 16,
An play dem dirty game applaud di bloods and skins,
An watch dem like a show of a view big screen,
An can we bread a dem an go buy dem cream?
Turn dem inna police an bring dem in ‘pon dem team
Him drive ten grand worth a government larder,
An fight against di ones who have di same forefather,
Him next door neighbour, all weed we charge for,
We children slaughter,
An we dem wan murder,
Jus read di observer,
Right now di city can’ get no obsurder,
Of the 400 years a no leap wi brown sugar,
We ambush we (brother)bred a’,
An gwan like whenever,
Use to plan slave revolt an a dem push dem together,
We change jus like di weather.

Every time I ‘ear di crack of di whip, my blood runs at me, (its runnin cold)
I remember on di slave ship how dey brutalise your very soul,
Today dey say that we are free
Only to be chained in poverty,
Good god I think it’s illiteracy ,
Only a machine that makes,

Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned
Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned

son's of slaves child,
now son's of di slave driver,
na space slave ride an hidea,
an if dem could, dem would tax you pon saliva,
how much more must we die for?
the ones in the cars when we standing at da car minus,
the government bogus, they don't work for us,
instead dem chain and whip you with da best stick first,
and guns and aids and drugs,
cause most of di youths with di school in dey mouth,
can’ get no money from legitimate jobs,
den a wonder,
why dem grab chain and bags,
you influence di youth a turn dem gays and fags,
And rest den can afford not even torn up rags,
But table a turn a mi turntable spun,
Di fiya we a catch up all a blaze and a burn,
Dats why anytime you say Rasta ya run!
Eh yo!

Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned
Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned

We no wan nah Babylon government wey ya burn down ganja man tent,
And dem a come wit dem one bag o tax argument when we can’ pay rent,
Me side dem a leave ghetto youths every which part dem went dem a be round corner dem bent,
So next time dem pass through you and ya crew don’ give dem no encouragement,
Eh yo, jus start run dem out and start burn dem out a ya environment,
An yo, we wan no bout da every red cent o’ di poor people money dem spent,
An den, we wan no down to who pay di bill when di prime minister car dent,
An yo, we wan know when dem come repossess all these guns and jobs they’ve sent

Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned
Slave driver, your table has turned
Catch a fire, your gonna get burned

K. Bliss - "If you Care

Kayla Bliss photo - by nigel Jeremiah; NiGraphix, digital photography & Imaging

"If YouCare" K.Bliss  - Retro Brooklyn/No Joke Records

I come from a genetation

That's constantly critized

They can't look past our failures

And see the heartbreak in our eyes

Did you ever think that everyting we do

We must have learned from you

So instead of constantly being the judge

Change your ways and show us love.

If you care about the future so much

Why do you say the things you say about us

We can't stretch our arms out to you

No On  for us to look up to

Maybe if you stuck around and was a father to your child

She wouldn,t be longing for love and she wouldn't be running wild

Maybe if you didn't tell your son that he was worthless and his dreams are worthless to

He'd show you a little more respect than you see he do

The Rude Awakening

Steele]

((yo the wars wit everything outside your door))
[it's a rude awakening but it's more in store]

[Tek]

even went to California and got love from thugz
and it's all good big up to all the neiborhood
that came to see Tek and Steele when ever they could
but remember the struggle continues after the (?)
watch who ya fuck wit, watch what you getinto
theres a war goin' on outside and in my mental

last week my man put a pistol to his temple
I said nah son not that, thats to simple
one little niggie on the block sellin' crystal

'nother little niggie lock, cause they blew the whistle
last little niggie did the same bitch shit his little sister
this little niggie be hard to find
mind don't makin' it in this day and time
do what we have to criminal Illegal
stayin' alive strivin' wit my people.

[Steele and Tek]
In days of our lives they try to make ends meat
to search for tommorrow got us walkin' the streets
Yo I'm not sweatin' sleet, not really stressin' beef
I'm just tryin' to live, tryin' to eat
tryin' to stay strong, tryin' not to fall
tryin' to live to see my unborn get tall
cause the streets of New York ain't just a walk in the park
you can get your life got in day the or the dark.

[Steele]
I give thanks when I rise up, open my eyes up
Calastetic get me right so I'll be niceup
cause when you feel fit ya feel nice
beware of the tricks and the fools paradise
like the wicked mind youth with them gun pound clocked
who wish to ambush me when I leave the weed spot
want to get, what I got, roll the lah that I cop
rock the shines that I rock, make my life clock stop
but death me fear not, cause the most high guides I
bless me wit protection as the years pass by
conquerer, mighty rasta,
let no man steel from the pocket peel for ya
as i meditate and demonstrate, verbal earthquakes
breakin' down like a junky with a case of shakes
to my dogs flippin' weight and behind gates
livin' street life, put the stash on Jakes
for ya need, do whateva the deed
watch shiesty ass bitches and the next man grieves
Mr. Ripper from the star to the hills its all real
gotta maintain cause the sun don't chill.

[Tek and Steele]
In days of our lives we strive to make ends meat
to search for tommorrow got us walkin' the streets
Yo I'm not sweatin' sleet, not really stressin' beef
I'm just tryin' to live, tryin' to eat
tryin' to stay strong, tryin' not to fall
tryin' to live to see my unborn get tall
cause the streets of New York ain't just a walk in the park
you can get your life got in day the or the dark
